Gerald Whitley

With over two decades of experience in sales and marketing, Gerald has been a driving force behind the success of some of America’s most prominent recreational resort communities. His real estate journey began as a top sales executive at Reynolds Plantation, a prestigious luxury lakefront resort and golf community on Lake Oconee, near Greensboro, Georgia. Gerald later joined the sales team at St. James Plantation in Southport, North Carolina, where he excelled as a salesperson before advancing into sales management.

Throughout his career, Gerald has held key roles in sales, marketing, and consulting, achieving more than 1,750 property transactions and generating over $950 million in revenue. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Reunion Resort & Club in Orlando, Florida, he spearheaded the start-up and management of all marketing and sales initiatives. Gerald built and trained a 21-member sales and marketing team, leading the inaugural community launch, which achieved over $45 million in sales. He also managed subsequent traditional sales programs with consistent success.

At Promontory Club in Park City, Utah, Gerald served as Director of Sales, overseeing all real estate operations for the developer. His responsibilities included recruiting and training a 25-member sales and administrative team, developing a cooperative broker program for local real estate brokers, and managing the company’s resale program. Under Gerald’s leadership, the sales team achieved 453 transactions totaling over $329 million during his tenure. In 2013, he was brought back to refocus developer sales, leading the team to a 64% increase in sales within one year, solidifying their market dominance.

Gerald is a graduate of Mars Hill University in North Carolina and a licensed real estate broker-in-charge. A former collegiate and minor league professional football player, he brings the same drive and discipline to his professional endeavors. Outside of work, Gerald enjoys personal training, hiking, biking, backpacking, and snowboarding. He cherishes time spent with his three daughters and four young grandchildren, creating lasting memories through outdoor adventures.
